Rituals, man. Rituals.

Ritewriter
Spellcaster | DARK | Level 3
When this card is Summoned: Add 1 Ritual Spell card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. Decrease the total levels of monsters required to be tributed/banished by the Ritual Spell card by 2 (min. 1). If a Ritual Spell card resolves and this card is face-up: Draw 1 card.
[ 400 / 1100 ]

Bloodletting Ritual
Ritual Spell Card
Tribute monster from your Hand/Field whose levels are greater than or equal to the Ritual Monster. You can also decrease the DEF of a monster(s) you control in multiples of 500 to substitute 1 level for every 500 DEF decreased.

Rune Ritual
Ritual Spell Card
Tribute monster from your Hand/Field whose levels are greater than or equal to the Ritual Monster. You can also banish Spell cards from your Graveyard to substitute 1 level for every Spell banished.

The Sundance Kid
Warrior - Ritual | LIGHT | Level 6
When this card is Ritual Summoned: All monsters your opponent controls lose 50 ATK and DEF X the total levels of all face-up monsters your opponent controls. When this card is destroyed: You can pay 1000 life points; Add 1 Ritual Monster from your deck to your hand, except "The Sundance Kid".
[ 1900 / 1400 ]

Tethra
Fairy - Ritual | WIND | Level 8
During either player's turn, when a Spell or Trap card is activated, place 1 Spell counter on this card. This card gains the following effects depending on the number of Spell Counters it has:
1 or more: This card cannot be attacked and is unaffected by opponent's card effects.
2: This card gains 1500 ATK.
3: Immediately remove all Spell Counters and destroy 1 card the opponent controls.
[ 1500 / 2200 ]

this is nice to compensate the ritual summon, of course it will be left hanging afterward unless you able to use as some fodder for something else or protect it till next ritual summon (not too likely).

I can see this combo well with Ritewriter to not only search the ritual spell but also to minimize the minuses as much as possible. it look like it will be -1 at best
.

Rune Ritual
Ritual Spell Card
Tribute monster from your Hand/Field whose levels are greater than or equal to the Ritual Monster. You can also banish Spell cards from your Graveyard to substitute 1 level for every Spell banished.

This would be another option depending on the deck as how often spell cards fill in the grave but Bloodletting Ritual may seem a bit easier to fulfill the alternative in the beginning and this is more like mid-late game.

Wouldn't this be easier to say "Each monster your opponent controls loses 100 ATK and DEF equal to its level"? the "50 ATK/DEF x" looks kinda weird. The compensation upon its destruction does well for the loss.

Tethra
Fairy - Ritual | WIND | Level 8
During either player's turn, when a Spell or Trap card is activated, place 1 Spell counter on this card. This card cannot be attacked and is unaffected by opponent's card effects while it has a Spell Counter, also, it gains 1500 ATK. When this card has 2 Spell Counters on it: Remove them and destroy 1 card the opponent controls (this is not optional).
[ 1500 / 2200 ]

it might be me but i feel it might be a bit much as it be a wall + 3K beater + immunity and when it loses the counters, the opponent will try to destroy it with monster effect or run over it then all you have to do is play another S/T in chain to their actions it recover the bonuses. It does look a lot on paper but in practice, it may differ.

Thanks scheath.

Yes that's the thought with Rune and Bloodletting ritual, different game states.

Sundance Kid counts the total of ALL the opponent's monsters' levels.
For example, if they had a Level 4 and a Level 2, they both would be decreased by 600.

I redid Tethra to make it a little slower.

So they seem good, but is Sundance Kid that old West outlaw?
