Yep, time for new stuff.

Once we get to like the 100 mark we'll start slowing down incoming cards with a look to closing the set to have a quick run-through on cards for last-minute changes and what not.

Keep your cards bunched together rather than throughout the thread please and try not to throw like 30-40 at once.

There will also be a seperate thread for images, YVD code here please set name is TST2.

Catapult Zone is a literal copy of Catapult Zone? or was that posted by accident?

Mana Maze - Mono-attribute decks will suffer very greatly when they lose the ability to summon anything until Mana Maze is destroyed. They can still set, but I think it's too effective at stopping monsters from coming out considering it will be put in Multi-attribute decks.

Crevice Crawler - Can you Special Summon 2 Level 8+ Monsters from the Grave? It's last effect prevents its first effect from ever working since cards in the grave can't be targeted except by their own effects.

Dimensional Simorgh - Being Special Summonable from the GRave and Hand by banishing two monsters with a 2600/1200 body, that can ATK/DEF burn when a card is banished. Anything that wants to get close to that has to be Tribute Summoned.

Predator Dragon can be Normal Summoned without tributes...but has no incentive to be Tribute Summoned, or drawback for being NSd without tributes. Revise it.

If Steel Tongue Basilisk destroys itself and the other monster in battle, how can the other monsters after the first one attack it?

Envious Snatcher turns itself into a 1900 ATK monster, and any other reptile that battles (attacks or is attacked) gains 700.

Meat Grinder's effect is confusing. Does it gain 500 ATK after it is Special Summoned from your hand? what if it's Tribute Summoned?

Shock Field is probably Catapult Zone for thunders. It's a little absurd considering how many Thunder or Machine-type monsters someone can put in their deck that they would want to be in the Graveyard...

Stonhold Furnace is a fucked up card. Just doubling damage with no context or strategy is how games are lost too fast.

While we're on the subject, @Scheath, Turbulence Wyvern is like a really strong, very versatile Grand Mole. While it's great WIND support it needs to be toned down.

Sea's submissions this set don't look like filler to me, so there's a misunderstanding here. I remember his submissions last set striking me as filler, though, and I commented on that in the chat, but that's in the past.

[19:36:01] @ Ash : i don't mind having themes but this is far too much, its going to completely centralize deckmaking which is the furthest thing we want in a test set

Basically, no we aren't going to oversupport wind or dragons, I hope some submissions will be revised to address this. Small themes and engines are ok, but overdoing it will only push deckmaking in the direction of larger themes.

This is a test set, we're meant to be holding decks to a manageable level. If your deck is made up of 25 or so support cards and the decktype it is based on, we're not getting a full evaluation of the set, we're just seeing a deck theme working as it should which really does not help anything we're trying to achieve from these sets.
